Bulldozers
To work as a bulldozer driver, in most cases, you need a heavy equipment license or an approved professional license. You must be 18 years old and have certified skills in operating heavy equipment. To get a training certificate or professional license, you need theoretical knowledge and practical skills in:
Ergonomics and safety in bulldozer operation
Working with a bulldozer may require handling complex hydraulic machines, whether tracked or wheeled. Other common machines include the compact mini bulldozer and the utility bulldozer. They are equipped with a rotatable hydraulic arm and a bucket for digging and lifting. In most cases, at least a heavy equipment license is required to drive medium and large bulldozers.
Hands-on training includes learning digging techniques, safe maneuvering, blueprint reading, and basic equipment maintenance.
After training and certification, you can work in construction, contracting, quarrying, and municipal service companies.
